Visiting the Collection

Gawthorpe Textiles Collection is based at Northlight, a redeveloped 19th century textile mill in Brierfield, Lancashire. The collection is housed in dedicated stores alongside our office and a study and workshop area.

The collection is availiable to view by appointment only. Individuals and groups can book a study visit to see items from the collection. You can find out more about this by visiting the Talks, Tours & Study Visits page.

We also run events throughout the year that offer another way to engage with the collection and you can find details of our current programme on the What's On page.

Accessibility

Our facilities at Northlight have fully step free access and disabled toilets.

There is free car parking adjacent to the building and coach parking can be arranged nearby if discussed with us prior to the visit.
