Loan Boxes

Our loan boxes are designed to support creative learning in schools, as well as craft groups, community groups and adult learning classes. The boxes include historical textiles, reference books and activities for a range of ages.

‘Contemporary Stitch - Bella May Leonard’ and ‘Contemporary Lace - Angela Davies’ feature contemporary artists who have been inspired by our collection. The boxes include examples of the artists’ work and explore historical and cultural developments of their art forms.

Our ‘Patchwork’ and ‘Plain Work Samplers’ technique boxes explore the historical and cultural development of these needlework techniques with reference to the collection.
