Rachel Kay-Shuttleworth understood the educational and wellbeing benefits of crafts and dedicated her life to creating learning opportunities for others. She set up many craft clubs, gave demonstrations and lectures throughout her life. Her ambition was to have a craft house - a place of learning where people could come to discover beauty, inspiration and skills that would help them to make a living and to find pleasure and achievement in making.
